Para el penalista César Nakazaki, la Corte Suprema debe realizar un control de legalidad sobre los documentos que forman parte de la demanda de extradición en contra de Alejandro Toledo. El jurista refirió que el Tribunal Supremo enfrentará una dura batalla jurídica en Estados Unidos para lograr que el expresidente regrese al Perú.
Nakazaki indicó que los abogados del exmandatario han preparado una férrea defensa debido a las severas fallas que el Perú ha cometido durante el proceso en su contra. Agregó que para evitar fallos negativos, la Corte debe velar porque el planteamiento de la demanda de extradición sea óptimo y que se cuente con un buen abogado que represente al país en el juicio que se desarrollará en Estados Unidos.
